    Story

In May 2017, 41 year old Jackie was working full time and raising a beautiful daughter when unfortunately she became acutely unwell following a series of heart attacks & stroke, she sadly became paralysed chest down.

Jackie has been separated from her 7 year old daughter for over 1 & half years now due hospitalisation and is now temporarily in a care home as she is unable to return home due to it not being wheelchair accessible. Jackie is currently waiting to be rehoused by the council into an accessible property which is a scarce resource.

Jackie is deeply upset and desperately wants to be reunited with her daughter Matia & partner Scott. She wants to regain a sense of normality again.

Sadly this is taking a toll on Matia‘s emotional well-being therefore 39 year old parner Scott has reduced his working hours to look after Matia. They visit Jacki daily and on the weekends they take Jackie to the local park so she can spend quality time with her daughter. They are currently reliant on wheelchair accessible taxi’s which costs £25 each time.

Due to Jackie no longer being able to work and reliance on basic benefits they are struggling to pay the taxi fares. Partner Scott is also struggling as he is currently paying a mortgage, bills & childcare costs on a part-time wage.

Having a wheelchair accessible car would be ideal for the family, giving Jackie & her family greater independence and the opportunity for Jackie to take her daughter to school, shopping and day trips.

Please help Jackie to be with her family again! Jackie will be eternally grateful if you could shed some light into her tragic situation and help contribute towards a wheelchair accessible car. Every penny counts!

A deposit for a wheelchair accessible car under the motability scheme will cost £3000.

Any spare money we raise will help Jackie pay for new school uniforms and clothes for her daughter.

Thank you for your support & kindness x
