Story
In 2018, I will be going on a World Challenge expedition to Southern Tanzania. On my expedition, I will develop leadership, team-work and
decision making skills while travelling to Tanzania. By really engaging with another culture and a remote environment, myself and my team mates take full ownership of destination research and itinerary planning, fundraising ideas and events, budgeting, preparation, fitness and nutrition. During the 16 day expedition, I will complete a trek lasting 5-7 days. After the trek, I will work on the project phase. The project phase is often cited by Challengers as the time that had the
deepest impact on them. It is a truly unique opportunity for students to immerse and embed myself within a local culture and community.
The most common manual labour tasks on a World Challenge is
project phase is renovating school facilities; building additional school classrooms, teacher housing, dormitories or toilet blocks; establishing a clean water supply; designing playgrounds etc.
After completing the project phase, we have the amazing opportunity for relaxation. During this period of time, I will visit a wild safari. On the safari visit, I will witness Animals in their natural habitat in a remote environment which is really rare to see to date.
As a way to fundraise for my World Challenge Southern Tanzania expedition, I am doing a 160ft bungee jump on April 24th. I am reaching out to gain sponsors and donations to raise money towards the £2900 needed to go on my expedition.
Every penny counts! Pictures will be posted as evidence of the bungee. Thanks in advance!!
