Story
I have made no secret of my personal struggle of severe ill mental health over the last four or so years. I once had a very different, some might even say thriving lifestyle, moving from Birmingham to London at the age of eighteen, to pursue my dream of going to a top drama school and becoming an actress.London was my home, my life and my world. I met many wonderful people there, some now friends for life, but my roots were always firmly placed in Birmingham, the city being both my place of birth and the home of my immediate family. The birth of my little sister in 2009 certainly evoked more frequent visits back home to Brum. I have suffered from depression for what feels like my entire life, I was diagnosed at the age of sixteen but I was still very able to have control of my life and live and work like everyone else. Unfortunately in 2013 I had a breakdown and was subsequently diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, it was then that I had to leave London. If you haven't already, please do visit my website designed to educate and reach out to those intrigued or whom need solace in knowing that they are not the only ones facing the multiple challenges of depression and so on (www.adiaryfromnoone.co.uk). I raise money for mental health charities and do my best to raise mental health awareness, organising, over seeing and hosting two festivals in the last two years, despite being sectioned for nine weeks this year, but this quest is personal. I am very happy in my home but unfortunately, my tenancy agreement has expired and I must vacate my current refuge as soon as another property becomes available. In order to secure whatever property that I may end up in, whenever it shall become available, I will need to deposit £400. I have no savings to speak of, I am indeed trying to raise and save as much money for this new potentially immanent change by myself (please check my vintage garments up for sale on my Jade Laurie-Hart Facebook profile) and would not usually consider crowdfunding for , "personal gain" but after speaking to a friend last night, she encouraged me to at least try as I have nothing to loose. So... if you can part ways with a few pounds and decide to donate, please be assured that it will go towards the next chapter in my life, igniting promise and security in what shall be my new and hopefully happy home. Thank you for reading. XxX Jade
