Cathy O'Malley, aged 51, has the rare genetic condition Friedreich's Ataxia. It has severely affected her mobility and her ability to travel. She has a wheelchair and a carer to assist. In order to travel it incurs extra expense as her carer needs to come too. It also requires adapted cars to transport her and an adapted bed and other equipment in order to ensure Cathy is comfortable and can get around out of her own home.

Cathy lives in the UK and has not been home to Achill for some 15 years. She is coming this September as she missed her Dad's Funeral last year and wants to attend the Yearly Mass. But we need to pay for the extra expense it costs to bring her so she can enjoy her first trip home in many years without having to worry about how to pay for it all.
