    Story

Hello, everyone my name is Jamain, 22yrs and I have recently graduate from University. I move to the U.K. in 2007 for betterment but the one thing that is holding me back is, not having a British passport. It's really hard to go about doing things because I don't hold a British passport. Since being here my aim is pursuing my career in fashion and portraiture Photography, I've being doing so much to try my best to boost my career. I've work in edu-cation as technical staff and as an ambassador teaching 16-18-year olds photography. I would love to teach one day in the future.

The fees are so high at moment, the longer a take the harder it is for me to achieve my goal of becoming a British Citizen. In January 2011 the fees used to £700 and the fee for today is £1282. It's really hard to save up for that on Sale Assistant role.

    - Before I apply this is what Home office needs from me:

Before you begin your application, ensure you can provide the following:

a 'Life in the UK Test' certificate: this must be from the official government service for Life in the UK Tests and you will need to provide your pass reference number (If you are applying on behalf of a child under 18, they don't have to pass the Life in the UK Test)

    two referees

proof of your knowledge of the English language

If you already have a certificate for knowledge of the English language to at least B1 level, used as part of a successful settlement application, you can use this towards this application.

You also need to provide one of the following:

evidence of Indefinite Leave to Remain

a European Economic Area (EEA) Permanent Residence Card

a certificate of entitlement to the right to abode

    -

The pictures above is me holding my Life in the UK Test certificate with a PASS, first time, I was so excited. Which cost me £50

I have my evidence of Indefinite Leave to Remain Visa already but then I needed my Biometric card, the fee for the card itself was £327.20

    -

The fees I need to pay for the passport:

    AN Form - £1282

    Fingerprints and Photo - £19.20

    The Ceremony fee - £80

    Total- £1381.20

It feels weird asking strangers and friends for help, but I would like to thank you in advance helping or thank you for just viewing this page.

*As a graduate photography student I am willing to give away a copy of my Graduate photography book about my country Guyana, if you contribute more than £50.

Also, if you donate more than £100 I'll send you a print of my best work. *

Jamain designed a brilliant logo and social images for me recently that I was very impressed with. He's a talented designer and photographer who is a great example of a talented, British young person.
