Thank you to James who has volunteered to cycle from London to Paris in July 2018 to help raise funds for Friends of Kennet Music (FKM).

Friends of Kennet Music is run by a group of volunteer parents who:

i) Raise funds for the Music Department at Kennet School, Thatcham.

ii) Help to promote pupil development through music performances outside the school environment.

Kennet School has an extremely vibrant Music Department which provides the students with opportunities to play and sing in a variety of ensembles, an orchestra, choirs and soul bands to name but a few.

The funds raised are used to buy instruments and other equipment to support the music curriculum. Last year we were able to provide funds for the Music Department to purchase classroom xylophones and a set of classroom Djembes. This year, one of the instruments we are hoping to contribute to is a new drum kit and we are extremely grateful to James for offering his support.
