    Weʼve raised £745 to help to fund weekly training session costs for my wheelchair basketball club, The London Allstars

    Funded on Thursday, 20th September 2018

    Story

    I am carrying out a Personal Endeavour Project for my school.

    At first, I was put off embarking on a physical challenge because of my disability. I have diplegic cerebral palsy and find it hard to walk / run and generally use my legs. I tried to think of other things I could do but then I decided to tackle my fears head on. I have set out to attempt a TRIATHLON (with a difference).

    I am undertaking to;

    swim 500m in an outdoor pool.

    cycle 7miles around the perimeter of Richmond Park

    walk to the top of The Monument (311 steps to the top and down again)

    I will do all of these challenges within 36 hours.

    I hope to raise money for The London All Stars - my wheelchair basketball club - to help to fund the costs of our weekly training sessions.

    London All Stars has made a real difference to me and my team mates. We work hard, train hard and play hard and whilst in my sports chair, playing basketball I feel the same as everyone else.

    Any help or support you can give, will be greatly appreciated:)

      Dear donators and friends Thank you for all your donations and words of encouragement, I am very grateful. I didn’t expect such generosity but it is a welcome surprise and I really do appreciate the donations. They have helped motivate me through all three challenges. I cannot thank you enough for donating your money to help my club. The money raised will help keep us all training on Sundays at the Castle Leisure Centre in Elephant and Castle. Thanks, James, the Triathlete! (All three challenges completed within 27hours)

    I have diplegic cerebral palsy which means that my legs don't work very well and I find it hard to walk, run and generally use my legs. As a result, I have never been able to play sports with my friends.
