Over the next few months I will be training for the Norwich half marathon and the Norwich 100 cycle event. I have set myself a challenge to help raise much needed funds for one of my oldest and best friends. Last year my good friend Damion Burbank was diagnosed with a an extremely rare pancreatic cancer called acinar cell carcinoma (of unknown primary) This extremely complex type of cancer is found in only 1-2% of patients with pancreatic cancer. The news has been devastating for Damion and his wife Emily and 2 young girls. So me and Damion's wife Emily and a few friends are getting involved in a host of events to help raise the funds he so desperately needs to carry on with his treatment which is not funded by the NHS.

To give Damion the best chance of a longer life in better health, he has been exploring other treatments and therapies offered at reputable clinics abroad. All of the clinics offer the latest cutting-edge treatments, which include immunotherapies, stem cell therapy, cryo-therapy, targeted chemotherapy, non-evasive radiation, regional and whole body hyperthermia, proton therapy and many others. The cost of these treatments are very expensive but the results are proving very successful.

So I have set myself the challenge to complete the Norwich half marathon and the Norwich 100 bike event within a few weeks apart. It's going to be tough but I'm feeling really motivated and would really appreciate any funds you are able to donate to help Damion reach his target.
