Story
I am currently studying BTEC public services at Alton College. Part of the course allows me the opportunity to travel to Africa to help make a difference to the lives of underprivileged children in rural Ghana. School overcrowding is a real problem at this school project and improved facilities are needed to accommodate the growing numbers of children and create more learning space. I will be going for 11 days and during this time i will be working full time to build, paint and renovate the classroom facilities whilst volunteering to help make a difference to this community.
Over the next few months I am planning a series of fundraising events like car boot sales, sponsored run, cake sales etc. I really want to help this community and I am passionate about making a difference to help these children get an education in a safe and practical school environment.
If you can help me in any way or make donation towards this exciting and worthwhile activity i would really appreciate it.
Many thanks, Jasmine
