Im raising money for this unit as they were absolutely brilliant looking after my late Nan (Thelma Vaughan for all that knew her) They allowed my grampa (Kennny) and us as the family to be with her as much as we wanted which ended up more or less 24/7 for the last few weeks we had her with us. She had spent quite a while on the ward in the hospital also and the nurses that are there are the same on the ward as the unit, i cant thank them enough on what they did for my nan and support they gave to my grampa also the family at the time.

I want to raise money to try and give a little back to help the ward to be able to continue the brilliant care and kindness that they gave my nan and family to other families their times of need.

I will be attempting to ride the elevation of Everest virtually, so this means i will using my road bike on a turbo trainer and via an application called zwift. In a single ride attempt to ride 8,848m/29,029ft.
It does not matter how long the ride takes, but it must be attempted in one ride (i.e. no sleeping in between). Breaks for meals etc. are fine. This is a big effort and will be pushing me to my limit. Training has started and will put the date up shortly. (Looking at the moment to do it in the Christmas break)

So i hope some of my friends, neighbour's, family, colleagues etc can spare a little to help this cause, doesnt matter how big or small the donation maybe every penny counts to help this unit and the nurses in the hospital to provide the best possible care to others in need.
