Story
Ben and Brad are taking part in the Hardmoors Half Marathon which includes running up and down Roseberry topping twice! They have kindly agreed to do it to raise money for Carers Together. There are over 8.8 million carers in the UK two thirds of whom provide over 50 hours unpaid care a week and carers unpaid work equates to £132billion a year. This comes with high personal costs, many carers suffer social isolation, struggle to maintain employment, develop mental and phsyical health problems of their own due to their caring role. Carers Together support unpaid carers across South Tees, their vital work provides both emotional and practical support to those who are caring for loved ones. Carers Together are a registered charity and are a user led organisation responding to the needs of local carers, providing carers assessments and access to services, welfare benefits support, specialist working carer and dementia carer workers, legal clinic, training, respite, support groups, social events and activities, emotional support and counselling are just examples of what we do. https://carerstogether.co.uk/
