Story
Many Tears Animal Rescue (MTAR) is based in South Wales and rescues primarily ex-breeding dogs who are no longer required; those on "death row" in the pounds and those whose owners are no longer able to keep them.
With the help of staff, fosterers and other volunteers they provide a special and loving environment to help all dogs adapt and find permanent, loving new homes and now re-homes in excess of 3,000 dogs each year.
Please watch this short video taken at the kennels in Carmarthenshire showing dogs that have been rescued, often from heartbreaking conditions https://youtu.be/J08NXOlaVkc
All dogs are spayed/neutered, micro chipped, inoculated and wormed but also need specialist veterinary care such as eye and heart problems, liver shunts and joint problems on a regular basis. All treatment is financed by purely by donations
Imagine if there wasn't a 'Many Tears' ?
What would happen to those poor lost souls that need rescuing so so badly? I could answer that but it is too sad to write.
Sylvia. the founder of this unique rescue is currently walking 280 miles from London to South Wales to raise funds to secure the future of her rescue., and these funds will be totally separate from other donations.
At 60, she will at some point in the future need to retire yet the rescue has been built in her garden, hence funds to buy this land or other
land is required so that the rescue can continue
On Tuesday, 16 May, Sylvia walks into our area and I intend to walk with her and her five dogs (and anyone else that would like to join us) for a 10 mile stretch.
I have done no training for this walk and have suffered two DVT's in the past few years, and so my legs are not the best, but I am determined to complete the challenge.
I am asking all my friends and colleagues to sponsor me, per mile or as a set amount, so that more dogs can rely and benefit from Many Tears Animal Rescue in the future.
Will you help me to help more dogs ?
Thank you so much

7 years agoI am currently at just 42% of my target of £300 in my personal bid to help raise funds for the Walk of Dreams and secure the future of Many Tears Animal Rescue. As I have completed my challenge of 10+:miles it is now a donation. It would be really wonderful if my friends & colleagues could donate the cost of 2 cups of Costa coffee (£5) so that my aching legs this morning feel that it was all worthwhile! Thanks everyone xxx

Two years ago, I adopted an ex-breeder from Many Tears Rescue. She was in a poor state both physically & mentally and has improved tremendously in a home. I now foster other lost souls, often in the same heartbreaking condition and help them find their forever homes.
