I am raising funds for my son's school by completing a sky dive on Saturday 17th March

Those of you that know me will know my son Tyler age 6 has learning disability autism and attends a SEN school.

Making the decision to send Tyler to a SEN school was extremely hard for us, but as it turns out was the best decision we've had to make. Tyler has been at Benton Dene School now 16 months and the change in our boy is amazing he has come on leaps and bounds in all areas of his development and we couldn't be prouder.

We cant thank the school and the staff enough for all their amazing work, not just with Tyler, but also for my whole family. The support and advice they have given us has been such a big help and with this we continue to grow and learn as a family to support Tyler, in the best way possible, to meet his needs. His teachers and other staff members are always on hand to help with absolutely anything they can and keep in regular contact, so we can work together.

When Tyler first started Benton Dene School I remember I sat and I cried. I felt so isolated from my sons education. We went from his school being 5 minutes away to being 25 minutes away, from me taking and picking him up every day, to him having school transport and also from me knowing all his school staff, other parents at school and all his friends to knowing absolutely no one. It was heart breaking for me, but very quickly that changed and within a week of him being there I was invited to a coffee afternoon. The staff and the parents I met where so welcoming and the relief I felt from having a support system of people that truly understand will stay with me forever. Still now the school plans regular things for parents like me and I have made some great friends there.

So yes, I'm going to jump out of a plane, at 10,000ft and I couldn't think of a greater cause. Thank you for reading my story and any donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated.
