Hi my name is Kyle Forrest and I am 10 years old. I am growing my hair for princess trust so that I can help make a wig for a child who has lost their hair through illness.

I am also asking to help raise money for my mums best friend who I have know all my life. Kate has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. I want to help send her and her family on holiday abroad because she has never been and she has been through a horrible time and i want to do something special for them so that they will have memories that will last forever.

This is Kate’s story.......

Kate was diagnosed with breast cancer at 29 which she has surgery, radiotherapy and hormone treatment for.

She then was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer at age 31 in both her hips, femur, lower and mid spine and multiple ribs which she has bone injections for every month and more hormone treatment.

Then 6 months after, again at age 31 from a routine CT scan it showed multiple tumours in her liver which she has had 6 cycles of chemotherapy and lost her hair through the treatment.

UPDATE - Unfortunately the most recent chemo did not work and the cancer has continued to spread within Kate's liver. She's currently waiting to start yet another, newer chemo therapy which we're hoping can set back the cancer at least a little bit so she can enjoy a lovely holiday in the sun.
