in July I will be heading to Pokhara in Nepal to do a once in a life time Physiotherapy placement. For this I am hoping to conduct my placement in the Green Pastures Charity-run Hospital (GPH).

GPH is a hospital which gives specialist rehabilitation for people living with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities, including patients who suffer with leprocy which is a disease which has detrimental effects on the neurological system within the body.

There is a very high prevalence of leprocy in Nepal with 1 in 8 people living with the condition so the work done at the hospital is vital in helping those in some of the poorest places with high quality care.

To raise money I ran the Hampton Court half marathon in Februray as well as i will be running the Birmingham 10K in April and will be splitting the money between assisting to fund my placement and its associated costs e.g. long list of vaccinations (20%) and the hospital (80%).

I would really appreciate any donation, no matter how big or small, to help raise as much money as possible especially because GPH is in desperate need of donations to help fund the vital work they do for the people living in Nepal with top quality rehabilitation and who I hope to be joining next summer to help deliver the interventions!
