Back in Summer 2015, I was fortunate enough to visit Hands at Work in Africa to experience first hand the amazing work they provide; little did I know that when I set out it would leave such an imprint on my heart. When I left South Africa I knew this experience couldn't just stop there, I had to go home and pray about what was to come for both myself and for Hands. I felt humbled and privileged to have walked alongside and spent time with some of the most vulnerable people in today's world, however what I saw didn't sit comfortably with me, it stirred up emotions and thoughts within me that I have struggled to process.
After a lot of thinking, I have decided to go back to Hands at Work for 2 weeks in August with a different team of people and to a different country - ZAMBIA!!
I believe this is the right time for me to give my full self away sacrificially to the work that Hands do and to the most vulnerable people and communities we share this beautiful world with.
The total cost of the trip is £1300, and any extra money raised will be directly donated to Hands at Work in Africa to support the work that they provide. There will be one big sponsored event happening before I go, so keep your eyes peeled for more information about that!
