My name is Jessica, I am 16 years old and next year I will be travelling to Nicaragua with World Challenge.

As part of the 3 week expedition, I will be climbing 3 volcanoes, trekking through the rainforest and river kayaking.

We will then be living in and contributing to the local community by mucking in with a school renovation project, enabling children to attend school.

This will certainly test my Spanish!

To enable my participation in this challenging project, I need to raise £3,450.

Last month I was fruit picking at Kenyon Hall Farm and this month I am working at Midstream Garden Centre cafe. On Saturday I attended Croft Carnival, and despite the park emptying at 3pm due to the footie, with some amazing helpers, we raised £165 through hair glitter plaits, rock painting and shooting for sweets. This Saturday I will be at Twiss Green Primary School Summer Fair, then in August I will be participating in the Aberdeen 10K Run with my Dad, Craig. This will definitely be a challenge as I am NOT a distance runner and have started training already!
