Richard is 22 year old and lives in the Copperbelt region of Zambia. Both Richard's parents died when he was 9 years old. He has brought up his brother and sister with the help of his uncle. Richard desperately wants to train to be a secondary school teacher of Maths and English at Kwame Nkrumah University. The cost of £1500 a year is a sum of money impossible for Richard to raise. I met Richard when I took a group of sixth form students to volunteer in Bwembelelo (Copperbelt region of Zambia) earlier this year. Richard is a sincere, unassuming, hardworking and committed person who would benefit enormously from our help.
