Story
Katie is travelling to India with All Hallows Catholic College in 2018. She will be spending time in a Medical Centre in Tamil Nadu in South East India. The Medical Centre provides Health Care/ Vaccination programmes and Health Support for more than 5,000 people living within a 20 mile radius. It has 2 small wards Male and Female, a dispensary and a Labour room. It is staffed by 2 Nurses and a part time Doctor. Although providing general Medical and Health care, the clinic is having a positive impact on HIV in women who are being treated at the clinic during Labour which reduces the risk of transmission of the Virus to her child by 95%. Katie will be helping in the clinic during her trip.
Katie would like to raise money for the clinic before her trip and has decided to have her fabulous long locks cut off to do so. As well as raising money for the Clinic she will donate her hair to the Princess Trust who turn the hair into wigs for children who have lost their own hair through illness or cancer treatment.
If you could support Katie in her fundraising efforts we would be very very grateful.
