    Story

Today I beg a massive favour of support from you all as Mothers, Fathers, and families everywhere.
My Son (step son) Joe Robinson 24, ex Duke of Lancaster regiment (1 tour of Afgahnistan).
In 2015 he joined the Kurdish (YPG) in Syria fighting against ISIS, he was a combat medic who helped casualties including innocent civilian children after/during ISIS attacks.
He also reported back on events to heighten awareness in western countries.
We did not know his intentions and did not support them, however I am proud of his ability to follow his morals and Values even if sometimes they may be impulsive.
Joe was arrested by British counter terrorism unit when he returned to the UK and found not to have committed any offence.
He has made mistakes as many young men have, he has also grown and become self aware, while starting to see the world more openly. He is trying to find his way in the world by signing up to education and was wanting to become a paramedic.
Last week he was arrested in Turkey while on holiday visiting his fiancée's family, he is being held without charge for being a member of a terrorist organisation (YPG). The YPG are backed by the UK, America and western countries in fighting ISIS and are not terrorists.
Joe is our Son and we are going out of our minds with worry, that he may spend 16± years in a Turkish prison.
He is not a terrorist he is just a young man who as made bad choices.
This is not a request for judgment political or moral. This is a family begging for help to see our Son if possible and bring him home safe to us.
Money will be used for his Mother to see her son and legal fees. It is said he will have to wait up to 3 months to even be charged.
This will be a very long emotional and expensive process, any help will be appreciated more than I can express.

    A family in crisis
    Thank you for reading

Joe is out of prison and our nightmare is almost over. He is on bail until March but could be home sooner if all goes well. Joe and ourselves are so grateful for all your help and support, without it we would not have manage to visit him and be there for his court case and eventual release. Sent some quality time with him, Mîra and her family who have all been amazing, This awful event has shown us how lucky we are to have support from all you lovely people and to treasure every moment you have ❤️❤️❤️

Joe has been released on Bail until March. He cannot leave Turkey but is free and able to be with his Fiancée over Christmas. He is being transported back to prison to be processed and released. We are traveling there now to wait for him and give him a much needed hug. Thank you all so much for your support it has helped us keep going through our most testing time as a family. Today has been emotional and a surprise but a very needed one. I cannot stop smiling and crying ❤️❤️❤️

Off we go to Visit Joe in prison tomorrow, then his court case on Friday. I know it is very unlikely he will be released, however a positive mental attitude and focused energy can make anything possible. So please focus your attention on Joe being returned home over the next couple of days. If he is not released Sharon will visit Joe again on Monday before we return home. Again we cannot thank you enough for all your support, please keep sharing, any amount helps towards our effort to get him home ❤️
