    Story

On behalf of three very close friends, in memory of Raymond Doyle, and the 15 others who tragically lost their lives on Bond Flight 85N, please read below -

We lost our Dad in April 2009 in the Helicopter crash near Peterhead –Bond Flight 85N. We as a family have pledged to raise funds for the volunteers of the local RNLI in gratitude of their tireless searching for 16 men who lost their lives that day. They have treated us the families with sensitivity and respect. They have even taken some of the bereaved families out to the crash site in order to help with their grieving process. The RNLI is a charity. They aren’t Government funded and operate from donations. These brave volunteers risk their lives everyday in order to save others.
I appreciate that Peterhead/Fraserburgh isn’t within your vicinity, but my Dad was a local man who always gave back to the community during his lifetime. He along with many others from North Lanarkshire work off shore in the oil and gas industry to provide fuel for the rest of us at home. The RNLI are a crucial emergency service for the thousands of men who work in the treacherous North Sea.
Due to the downturn in the oil and gas industry the Aberdeen economy has since suffered thus making it more difficult for local companies and businesses to make donations. To try and help raise funds we have arranged a Charity Night, which will be held in Condorrat Social Club on Saturday 25th February 2017 with all monies going to the RNLI.

To help raise funds for the RNLI Peterhead, at the above event at Condorrat Social club, as "Entertainment" I will be having my chest hair waxed (And there is a fair bit to come off!!).

Any donations would be much appreciated for this more than worthy cause, many thanks.
