    Story

    Johnny was a talented musician who sadly lost his life to sudden heart failure in the summer of 2022 aged just 22 years old. Johnny had huge aspirations to be a performer and creator of music and we are building an organisation that can provide a platform and opportunities for other young people to play and record their own music. Not only that but we aim to train young people in transferrable workplce skills such as event production and project management. Our launch event in April 2023 was a huge success in showcasing young new talent together with established headlining acts such as The Bluetones and Clint Boon. We want live music to grow in Johnny's name and we hope you will contribute and enjoy next event....of which we hope there will be many.

    We also want to campaign for change, so that patients and families are more aware of their own care and medic's actions as well as having a say in their treatment and what is recorded about them. Read more here:

      On September 30th 2023 Chris Charnley (Johnny's Dad) and his team of fundraisers comprising of family and friends will climb Cadair Idris Mountain in Snowdonia to raise money for Johnny's legacy....the Johnny Alfrey Music Memorial. Please support them as much as you can. Many thanks.

    Johnny died in June 2022 age 22 from sudden heart failure. This fund was started by his beloved Grandma, Elaine Alfrey who died 4 months later. Any donations will go towards our newly formed not-for-profit community interest company where we hold workshops and rehearsals.
