My name is Jo Jones. I am aged sixteen and a pupil at Beaminster School and am raising money to volunteer for the Camps International Ecuador Expedition 2017.

The aim of the Camp International Ecuador 2017 Expedition is to undertake projects to:
• Raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district of Ecuador.
• Raise the living standards of developing communities, within a rural district of Ecuador.
• Assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programmes to preserve biodiversity and protect vulnerable habitats.

The work that I will get involved in will directly benefit the community: whether it be helping to dig foundations for a classroom, collecting rubbish to be recycled, or planting trees, my input will hopefully change the locals’ lives, one day at a time. On a personal level, this expedition is extremely important to me because I feel that I will acquire and develop many important life skills such as confidence and working with a diverse range of people and understanding of a different culture.

Any donation small or large would be a massive help to both me and the communities I hope to work with.
