I have always wanted to donate my hair for a good cause but as I took up my first teaching post this year I was inspired even more to do it after meeting one of my pupils. This little girl is a Leukemia survivor and what a little trooper she is! After hearing about her tough journey and the months and years she has spent on the road to recovery, she inspired me even more to do it. She has shown me her wig that she wore during her treatment and shown me pictures of when she had to shave her hair off completely because it was falling out so much.

After hearing about her own personal experience, I wanted to do something to help other cancer patients. By donating my hair I hope to try to support and encourage someone by giving them a wig that they will hopefully feel good and boost their confidence in as they battle through this horrible illness..

The Little Princess Trust is a charity which takes donated hair and makes wigs for cancer patients with it. They can take a wide variety of naturally coloured hair and lengths for these wigs.

I would really appreciate if you could support this charity and the work they are doing by donating whatever you can, however big or small the donation may be. My hair will be cut on Saturday 14th April 2018!
