Taking part in an Ironman has very much been a life-long ambition, and having ran a number of runs in the past for charities, I have been really wanting to do the Ironman for a good cause too.

A number of months back, a friend from my University days posted online that her family were going through a very tough time as both her sister and mother are undergoing very serious medical procedures. As they are US based, they require a significant amount of funds for treatment. This really resonated with me, mainly as it reminded me that I am very fortunate to benefit from the NHS. Given their hardship, I've decided I would like to race the Ironman on their behalf, raising money for The Yarnell Family Trust.
