So proud of Josh ( my 22 year old) for having the courage to just go for it! He’s decided to spend his summer volunteering in Kenya. Paid for his own flights and accommodation. He’s in a small school teaching classes from age 5 up to age 16! He’s said it’s hard work but he loves it! ( never taught before!😊)

He was telling me how happy the children are even though they have absolutely nothing. He said it really makes you appreciate how lucky we are. Over half the children live in the orphanage next door because their parents have died of aids. They’ve been taught that education is their key to get out of the poverty they live in!

Their textbooks are out of date and falling apart!! As a developing country they don’t have the infrastructure we are so lucky to have in the UK. Josh has used £50 of his money to go with the headteacher to buy some new textbooks. He’s asked if I can help too. New textbooks are £6. I’m going to BACs some money over for him to buy 20.

If anyone reading this would like to donate for 1 or 2 or more textbooks do inbox me. It’s really simple for me to BACs the money to him.
