    Story

Hello, my name is Josie Scales and I am 18 years old, living in Dover, Kent. I currently attend Astor College and I am in my final year of sixth form. I have recently applied for university to study working with children, young people and families. I have been lucky enough to receive an unconditional offer from York, St John University. However, I am planning to defer this offer until September 2018 so I am able to have the opportunity to work in South Africa with young children, this will greatly benefit me and also aid the people of Cape Town.

South Africa is a country of dramatic change and optimism, which is reflected in the schools. Volunteering with Project Abroad will allow me to cultivate the over-crowdedness, understaffed, and under-funded of school. I will hopefully bring back the enthusiasm and hope for the future.

I would be greatly appreciative of any donations I may receive for this incredible cause. Thank you.
