    Story

To build a Salvation Army Church Hall in the Gletwin area of Harare, Zimbabwe , to seat 350 . Current landlord has sold off his property for commercial development. This appeal is one of many appeals to follow during the construction process, to part fund Work Pending for:
    • Siting & drilling a borehole

    BACKGROUND
Gletwin Salvations Army Corps, currently conducting prayers at 300 Enterprise Road.300 Enterprise Road belongs to Mr & Mrs Peach and the church is using this site courtesy of the owners’ benevolence .The owner has subdivided block 300 Enterprise including the church site indicating the land is about to be sold. As a result, we had to seek out land and we managed to secured a stand in Gletwin Township from Ministry of Local Government in 2013 (Measuring 2940 square metres)

To build a Church Hall to seat 350 & incorporating:
    • Admin section with 2 offices for the Officers
    • A Kitchenette & Toilets to serve Admin section
    • Board room and other admin offices
    • Main ablution facilities accessible from outside the Church Hall
    • Cry Room for nursing mothers
    • Sunday school hall
    • Store room & 3 bed roomed Officer’s house
    • An annexe with kitchen and dining hall to serve orphans and underprivileged children
    • A coffee shop adjacent to the annexe

The vision is to build the complex in accordance with the church’s founding principle: “Heart to God and Hand to Man”. The church will provide a spiritual sanctuary for the community “heart to God” while the annexe “social centre” will provide for the human needs “hand to man”

My Dad ( 82yr old & retired) has been a devout Salvation Army Church member since 1955 & is actively involved in this project. Seeing him on a ladder putting up the roof of the Officer's shelter as they could not afford a roofer on a recent visit obliged me to help raise funding
