    Story

I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to go on a once in a lifetime trip to Malawi with a group from my school, Williamwood High School. I will be going to Ekwendeni, Malawi with my school to re-build 3 classrooms which have recently been condemned and are set to be demolished. In the school the children are forced to sit un unsafe and unpleasent classes crammed with up to 60 pupils per room with only one teacher. By building this new block of classrooms i hope to give the children of Ekwendeni a brand new and inspiring enviroment to learn in and to prosper.

My peers and i are responsible for raising money as a group to spend on the children and the reconstruction of the block of classrooms. So far as a group we have raised £33,000 to use on the children. The money that you donate will help me pay for me to go on this journey. I hope you can support me and help me take part in this experince which will not only change the lives of the children but my life aswell.

I am going to do a 66 mile cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh to raise money to help me go on this once in a lifetime trip. I have been preparing myself for the trip for the past few weeks and have had great support from my local community as they have kindly donated to help me start my amazing journery.

Thank you for reading, and helping me achieve my goal, Jude

The picture below shows the route i will fallow on my cycle. The picture below that shows the state of the current block of rooms in Ekwendini primary school.

Hello! I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated so far. I'm not sure how to thank each one of you individually on this page but just wanted to let you all know that i am grateful for all of your very generous donations! I recently completed my cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh along the canals. It took me 6 hours to go along the canals from Maryhill to falkirk and then to Edinburgh but i would happily do it again for a great cause! Thanks again, Jude
