Story
Verification of the below can be supplied from both vets if required.
Ollie the stray cat would really appreciate your help in considering a donation no matter how small so he can have a CT scan at Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service in Solihull. Ollie has had a broken pelvis which has fused back but has a new bone callous growing and ongoing spinal issues causing him daily pain.
Cost of the CT scan is £1500. This is not including any future treatment he will require. I have paid for all of his treatment myself including his initial consultation at Willows. However I do not have pet insurance but want to help Ollie in anyway I can.
Ollie was found in a terrible condition coming into my garden looking for food. Ollie was very thin, he had no fur on his head, matted coat, balding in places all over his body, not receiving any flea or worm treatment and he was very frightened near humans and other cats.
After befriending Ollie over time I finally managed to catch him to bring him into my local vet for a health check. Ollie was not neutered so the vet castrated him and he is receiving regular flea and worming treatment and his fur has grown back.
Since I have looked after Ollie he has had ongoing medical issues. Ollie was recently treated for an eye ulcer and bowel issue. I asked the vet to de-mat his fur under sedation and to take x-rays as he was very sensitive in his middle to lower back area. The vet identified that Ollie had been involved in some major trauma a few years ago, he had broken his pelvis which has fused back with a new bone callous growing. Ollie also has spinal cord / invertebrae issues.
Ollie is in pain everyday and although he is on Metacam he is not himself, quite withdrawn. Having the CT scan will allow the specialist vet to identify exactly what can be done to help Ollie finally have a quality life.
Ollie and myself would be very grateful for any help you could offer.
Many thanks and kind regards

I like helping all in need especially those that don't have a voice to tell us when they are in pain and unable to help themselves.
