    Story

I have set this just giving page up on behalf of my lovely caring sister who has rescued over 40 animals from slaughter or from cruel beginnings and given them a happy life full of love and care. Julie started off just rescuing one or two but quickly realised how hard it was to say ‘NO’ especially when for most of them, their only fate was death. She had now rescued and successfully rehabilitated over 40 animals including horses, battery chickens, Christmas turkeys, sheep, lambs, dogs, feral cats and nursed them to good health and they all live together at julie’s little cottage in Ramsdell.

The cost of keeping all of these rescued animals is high especially vet bills and although she has asked me not to set up a page as she doesn't want to ask for money, i feel she deserves it for all the hard work and care and love she gives these animals unconditionally. The most recent vet bill for an orphaned lamb we named 'Sunday" pictured below, who was found abandoned by her mum and seriously dehydrated and we didn't think she would live. Julie is currently nursing her back to good health and she has recently had a little operation to turn her eyelids outwards. She is now one happy spring lamb although she needs constant care and monitoring as she is less than a week old and needs regular milk feeds even at 3am, which Julie does without complaining. Soon she will be big enough to go out with the bigger animals.

The donations will mainly go towards the cost of caring for the most recently rescued Ernest and Sunday as they have both needed extensive veterinary care and attention. Any extra funds will be put towards the other rescued animals and any rescues in the future such as more Xmas turkeys and bald battery hens or whatever lovely deserving creature comes her way!

    Sunday the Lamb

Battery Chickens just rescued and now..

Probably the worst of all the rescues was Julie’s beloved Ernest the Sheep (in cover photo with Julie). She found him stuck in a bramble bush, dehydrated and left to die without food or water he was unable to move and had a huge sore on his leg from all the days he spent stuck to the ground in this bramble bush. Julie peeled all the brambles off with her bare hands took him home and there he began his recovery! No one thought he would live but he did.. he is now one very happy sheep and is one of Julie's faves although every one of her animals is very special to her. (before and after of Ernest below)

Please if you could donate anything even just £1 or £2 that would be amazing. Please don’t feel you need to give loads. It all adds up.. On behalf of julie and all her little and large ‘rescuees’ at the cottage Thank you!!!!
