Until a year ago, I was a single mum. On this date, I was arrested on suspicion of child abuse & my children were placed in foster care. I am not on bail from the police & have not been charged with any offence. I am innocent. However, the family court are preventing the return of my children. we had a court hearing in July this year whereby the judge 'found' me to have done a small number of things, compared to the 53 the local authority alleged. the allegations of abuse included that I sent my son to school in the wrong colour shoes (they were brown and not black. they were provided by the orthotics department at the hospital. my crime was to ensure he wore the ones they provided!). A family court decides on the balance of probability whether something may have occurred, so the things the judge 'found', are only likely to have occurred (none of them did). They apply so much caution it is unreal. My son is epileptic. the judge believes that 2 YEARS AGO when I reported an increase in seizures, that I was making them up-for attention. the neurologist said he would expect the seizures to occur at night so wasn't concerned. the school said they hadn't seen any seizures but I have evidence to categorically disprove this. I have statements from others who have seen my son suffer seizures. Another point was I have told people my son might die/has a life limiting condition. I have this in writing from professionals caring for him. I only repeated what they told me. It turns out he isn't as poorly as they told me. It is their mistake, not mine. Until we separated, the childrens father also did everything which I am accused of, yet the children have now been placed with him. I now wish to appeal the ludicrous decision but can not get legal aid. this page is to raise the funds to help me get the right outcome and get my children home. there is lots more to say but the word count wont allow but please get in touch if you wish and I will happily answer questions..
