Hi, my name is Mina. I am 16 years old and have a passion for karate. I started learning karate at 9 years of age. Soon after I started competing in small competitions. As I have progressed, my passion for karate and competing has grown. I have achieved many accolades but I will be honest, I don't always win. I have had the greatest honour of being selected to represent Wales in the Junior World Championships in Tenerife and the European u21Karate Championships in Sochi as well as travelling the country going to various competitions.

The money I am trying to raise is to give me the opportunity to be selected to compete in the u21 European Karate Championships in Denmark.

My dream is to be able to compete in the K1s, Senior European and World Championships and the Olympics.

It's not just about the medals - karate gives me discipline, it helps with emotional issues, stress, fitness etc, for me it's a way of life.

There is no funding for karate at present therefore I am a self funded athlete and would more than appreciate any help you would be able to offer.
