In 2017, frustrated at the lack of advice and support available to Adults with Cerebral Palsy, Kirstie and I set up a Facebook group where members can help each other. We are both adults with Cerebral Palsy.

So far we have 415 members, who have all found us through searching for help. More and more adults, with Cerebral Palsy are struggling to access basic things such as a regular physiotherapist, who they can build a rapport with and call on when they need to. They are finding themselves waiting months for an appointment, only to be told 'we cant help you' or they are discharged with an exercise plan, which they are unable to follow. Hydrotherapy is excellent for CP - thats a well known fact. However, it just isnt available to us, we are all hitting a brick wall. Some of our members are even struggling to get the NHS wheelchair service to recognise the need for a decent and supportive wheelchair. Orthotic Splints and footwear - we are having to fight for these.

We aim to educate these departments in the shortfall of services, but first we need to get our group noticed. As I said - we already have over 400 members, but there are thousands of Adults out there who have never heard of us.

With your help we can get some posters into all UK hospitals and clinics to let people know that we are here.
