When our dear non-complaining friend, mentioned the intense stomach pain she was experiencing, we insisted Karine request a scan and not just rely on the blood test done by her wonderful Doctor, who was following NHS protocol

Sadly it was not a stomach ulcer or upset stomach but … neuroendocrine cancer tumours on the pancreas, liver, lower spine and hip. Who would have known the delivery of a diagnosis could be so cruel and very unexpected. The wonderful NHS guided her through the process and treatment for her type of cancer … ironically the best type of pancreatic cancer to have - but it had already metastasised to her liver, hip, and spine. This type of cancer is not treated with chemotherapy but Lanreotide, which is a hormone based treatment as opposed to chemotherapy.

After the initial shock and acceptance, as always, Karine researched with her friends how to best compliment the NHS treatment. We concluded the types of cutting edge holistic therapy that would be best were
