In Nottinghamshire we are facing an epidemic of loneliness, older people in particular those living with ill health and disability are particularly vulnerable to the effects of isolation and lack of social opportunity.

As well as causing a person to have a limited enjoyment of life, loneliness has been linked to increased ill health and effects a person's physical and emotional well being.

At Creative Paths we have been providing activity to older people to alleviate isolation and loneliness and have worked over the past five years in care and nursing homes in Nottinghamshire providing both activity and learning in art, creativity and reminiscence. Our sessions as well as providing fun and stimulating creative activity have provided meaningful opportunity for being to get together, share their ideas and celebrate their achievements.

We have been able to provide access to funding for people living in Nottinghamshire, but to date have not been able to offer similar opportunities to people living in Nottingham City.

Your support will go towards funding seasonal creative reminiscence workshops to people living in care homes in Nottingham City.
