Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving Page in memory of my brother Michal Jakob and all those who tragically lost their battle with Aplastic Anaemia.
My brother was a loving and caring dad, husband, son and brother. Amazing friend who inspiring many throughout his work. Incredibly intelligent person, biotechnologist, awarded for his outstanding researches. In 2016 he was diagnosed with a very rare autoimmune disease called Aplastic Anaemia. It's a serious acquired blood disorder where bone marrow fails to produce essential blood cells. Treatment for AA may include stem cell transplant and bone marrow transplant from a matching donor.
It's been a year since my brother lost his courageous battle and sadly passed away. So i decided to give something back and take part in Great Manchester Half Marathon Run which is not a small challenge for me and fundraise money to support Bone Marrow Transplant Unit in Royal Manchester Children's Hospital for the little ones who need our help the most.
Many thanks for your support,
Kasia Jakob
