We are trying to raise funds to help pay for a helmet that is required to treat our son Kasper's plagiocephaly. The helmet is custom made for Kasper by a specialist company called TiMBAND costing a grand total of £2000 which is unfortunately not funded by the NHS.

Without the helmet Kasper's head shape could stay severe for the remainder of his life. This will result in him possibly having trouble wearing glasses, cycle helmets etc and the asymmetry "may" cause issues with his sight if not rectified. We have seen numerous specialists regarding Kasper's head shape, they have all agreed that his condition is on the severe scale and that without intervention there is a slim chance that this will rectify itself. The helmet as mentioned is custom made and needs to be worn 23 hours a day for possibly up to 6 months :(

We also want to try to raise awareness for Kasper's condition to other parents. What started out as stiffness in the neck muscle has resulted in something far more serious. We have tried exercises, tummy time, rotating the side in which Kasper sleeps on since he was 3 months old but the Plagio has continued to be persistent.
