My 18 Year old son has Cerebral palsey. As a child he was incredibly independent and never let anything hold him back (within reason). As he has got older he has really struggled to come to terms with the fact that due to his disability there are certain aspects of adult life that he is going to have to work harder for. As in job which he has recently acquired ( so proud ) and generally socially.
This brings me to why I want to raise money for a wheelchair he was recently measured up for. It would be tailor made to suit his needs . He has limited use of left hand so grips on wheels would make it much easier
for him to self propel giving him much more independence. It's incredibly lightweight which means he wouldn't tire so easily when pushing himself.
As his Mum I want the world for my Son if I had the money I would get it in a heartbeat. He really is a lovely kind hearted young man ( this is also said to me by many people who know him ) he really deserves this.
