Play is the Way the Little Book of Quotes has been a collaboration between the author and illustartor Bryony Date, Upstart Scotalnd and the Cosy Foundation. After the publication of Play is the Way (edited by Sue Palmer) over a year ago, these wonderful quotes with charming illustrations appeared on Twitter. @upstart.scot retweeted them and the response was enthusiastic from many memebers of the Early Years community. This led to this booklet and now - after a wonderful zoom launch, Upstart have been given 200 copies to help spread the message across Scotland that Play is the Way! This fundraiser is to get these booklets into the hands of policymakers. Initially our MSPs and Directors of Education and then - well suggestions are welcome. Who will spread the word? Can you help us?

Each delivery will cost us nearly £2.00. Each booklet will go out by mail with an explanatory label on the reverse sharing who it is from and why we believe that they should be inspired to continue to learn as to why Play is the Way for our 3-7 year olds and why a statutory #kindergartenstage is needed to preserve this space for our children’s curiosity, love of learning, social skills and self regulation to develop.
