Story
Coffee and Craft
This has been running since 2002, meeting the needs of the local community through creativity. We continually adapt the project to the meet the needs of our community. Recently we have identified a need to reduce isolation and loneliness. To meet this need we are starting new sessions of 'community cafe' where people can pop in and talk to a person whilst enjoying a refreshment or making something.
The Need
We need to ensure funding of this for the first year to ensure this becomes sustainable and is here to meet the need in the long term.
Seeing a person and having someone sit and talk too whilst enjoying a cup of coffee, eases the loneliness and helps reduce my depression, it gives me a reason to come out each week.
