When we started our fundraising two years ago, I set myself a challenge of attempting The Great South Run (10 miles), which I never thought I would achieve .... However, 2017's challenge takes "facing your fears" to a whole new level!

On the 8th August, myself and 16 other crazy individuals will be throwing ourselves out of a plane for our little charity, The Wight Brainy Bunch.

I know over the last two years you have always supported our events and sponsored Mark in his ridiculous runs, but if you are able to spare a few pennies to sponsor me for what has to be my most stupid idea yet, this will enable us to continue helping more Isle of Wight families who find themselves faced with this devastating diagnosis.

As you all know, we set up The Wight Brainy Bunch following Marks diagnosis of a brain tumour in 2015 to raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity (for research, aid early diagnosis and improve the quality of life of patients living with this disease). Smile4Wessex (the official charity of The Wessex Neurological Centre in Southampton (who deliver specialist treatment for a variety of neurological disorders, serving an area of approximately 3 million people across the IOW and South of England) and to support Island families who are affected by brain tumours, offering financial and emotional support in their time of need.
