2016 DFAC World Athletic Bodybuilding Champion, full-time firefighter and part-time dog groomer Kerri Stewart needs your help now! Through fundraising, events and competitions, Kerri is trying to raise £1000 for Alzheimer Scotland - the country's leading dementia organisation - and a further £1000 to pay towards her flights and accommodation to Miami, Florida to defend her world title.

The DFAC World Finals are the pinnacle of natural bodybuilding and take place this year on 10th November 2018 at the Miami Convention Centre in Florida. Bodybuilding is a niche sport with an extremely loyal and dedicated fan base, however, the sport still lacks mainstream exposure. When you factor in all of the expenses a bodybuilder incurs (food and supplements - it's not cheap to fuel those gains 😆 , travel and accommodation) many athletes have to rely on the generosity of friends, family and fans to help support their lifestyle. With your support Kerri is hoping to raise £1000 to pay towards her flights and accommodation to Miami to defend her title.

Kerri is hoping that your generosity will also allow her to raise a further £1000 to donate to charity. Alzheimer Scotland is the leading dementia organisation in Scotland. They campaign for the rights of people with dementia and their families and provide a wide range of specialist and personalised support services. Kerri's grandfather receives help and support from Alzheimer Scotland and the money raised would fund research to explore ways to prevent or cure dementia and improve the lives of people living with dementia now.
