I suffer from Fibromyalgia, a crippling chronic pain condition. I am on so much medication that I'm not allowed to drive, and the British weather isn't great to be riding around on a regular scooter in. I want to be a mentor to other people in my condition, but with many of them being housebound this is very difficult. Taxis get very expensive. If I had this bit of kit I would be free to visit all of my disabled friends; to offer support, guidance and advice where they are. I know there are other campaigns on this website that seem so much more worthy of donations, but chronic pain is a wide spread issue that causes isolation and depression. I'd like to do my bit to make the world -or at least Liverpool!- a happier, more comfortable place to live. At the moment it's only my own isolation holding me back. This is a lot of money to ask for, but I will be future-proofing myself so that I can help people for years to come.

Bonus: being able to buy milk when I run out! At the moment I can't get to the local newsagent as it's too far. This scooter would change that completely 😄
