Story
Hello my name is Athena. I was given a second chance by my moms vets when I was brought in to be put to sleep for aggression issues. Im only still a baby at 10 months of age.
My new mom came forward and agreed to take me on and work with me giving me a forever home no matter what. I think my charm did the job.
My mom then noticed after a few days she could hear clicking in my elbows every now and again when I moved so decided to take me for some xrays to make sure they were ok.
Sadly the vet gave my mom bad news. I need surgery as soon as possible to remove a piece of loose bone in both my elbows else I am going to become poorly very quickly wihich she does not want me to do.
Can you help my mom by donating even 1p towards my cost of surgery. She has promised if you raise too much she will keep it on my account for my continued care.
Please help me spend many more years with my new mom and my new k9 family.

7 years agoAthena had a very good day today. Had some fun and played tug for the first time with me. She is coming out more and more and is such a happy girl it's unbelievable. So here we are after another shift at work just dropping by to say a big thankyou to everyone who has donated so far. We are greatly appreciative and send you our love 😘 😘 😘 😘

7 years agoI'm at work with mommy today. And I'm being a very good girl making sure everyone behaves. My surgery is now been scheduled for the 25/09/2017 at 10am so please keep bidding and sharing so I can plan my recovery. Mom said I will be in pain for a few days afterwards but should be fighting fit in 3 weeks post surgery. Thankyou Everyone for your support so far. Love Athena 🐺

7 years agoWell how everyone is chipping in it looks like Athena will be having surgery at the latest early October. We will be looking to take Athena swimming once her wounds have healed which would mean hydrotherapy or me taking some time off to take her swimming like I did with Ellie when we first had her to build her muscles up. Either way it's nice to be sitting here starting to make plans for her which were on the back burner originally. Love from myself, my husband and most of all Athena
