So, I've decided to take on the Great South Run. In just 12 weeks I have tried to teach myself how to run and conquer the 10 miles. I have to be honest, Ive had so many set backs and many training runs have been horrific. So, it could be pretty entertaining for all!

What makes me get out and keep putting one foot in front of the other is my passion to raise money for two causes very close to mine, and many others hearts. I have decided to create a crowdfunding campaign, so I can gather money for two separate causes in one go (the money will be paid to me and I will split the money equally and donate to each charity. The target is set low to ensure I get a payout!).

Centre of Cancer Immunology (University of Southampton) : The University is already in the process of groundbreaking research in using the body's own immune system to cure cancer. It truly could be the cure to cancer, with the possibilities for vaccines in the next 15 years (!). Clinical trials will be available in Southampton, which in themselves, could create cures for so many local people, including our own family & friends. The money will go towards opening this new groundbreaking centre.

Change for animals : This charity work with local communities to end cruelty to animals for entertainment and other reasons. Including the cruel dog meat trade and animals in captivity (orcas, circus animals etc). I was actually going to run for Battersea Dogs Home to support their campaign to raise animal cruelty sentencing, but they managed to achieve it before the run (hurrah)! So now it's time to help those so far behind us.
