    Story

Kimmys Zoo is small business in Ipswich, Suffolk UK running into our 9th year. We take our animals to visit people of all ages, educating at schools and parties, animal therapy in care homes and special needs groups, and even children's parties. Some of our animals include meerkats, a skunk, an armadillo, sugar gliders, tortoises, snakes, lizards, frogs and more. All of our animals are loved pets to us, born in captivity in the UK and reared with us animal mummy's, each with their own unique characters and love coming out on visits.

The joy we get seeing someone conquer a fear of snakes or hearing the giggles of a child having an armadillo use its long, sticky tongue to slurp food of their hand really is the most rewarding experience. What we do is important because animal contact and therapy provides a social and emotional support system for children, adults and the elderly, with assumptions that because the animal seems non-judgemental, it is perceived as comforting, raises self-esteem and makes it easier for people to express themselves.

We are reluctantly asking the public for kind donations because unfortunately we are not eligible for government grants as the animals live at our residential premises and although i have considered it we are very unlikely to be able to pay a government loan back within 12 months due to having to repay our tax money as well and end up with high business interest rates.

All funds raised will go towards any of the monthly running costs below. Any donation even a £1 would be very very kindly received. Please be assured caring for the animals is our top priority, we will not resort to re-homing animals or neglect animals requiring veterinary care during this time, they are our family and will be treated as such.

Monthly expenses; £200 insects, £120 fruit & veg, £50 other including; hay/ biscuits & pellets, £20 Bedding, £120 Electricity, £0-500 (varies) vet bills & £500 approx on other business running costs.

Please feel free to check out our website www.kimmyszoo.co.uk or facebook page Kimmys Zoo if you would like to see more pictures of the animals or book an event in the future. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Please share to your family & friends even for advertising purposes for the future, any help will be gratefully received. Stay safe <3
