Weʼve raised £350 to Help replace the toilets at Yaxley Public Hall, painting and decorating the hall and maintainence.

    Yaxley, Peterborough, UK
Funded on Sunday, 12th August 2018

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

Yaxley Public Hall was built in 1921 as a memorial to the Yaxley boys who lost their lives in WW1.
Many groups throughout the years have used the hall and has been a big part of Yaxley village.
As time has gone on the wear and tear of the building now need some attention.
Yaxley Amatuer Players and Yaxley Amatuer Player youth group, Table tennis and Norman Cross Crusaders are frequent users of the hall. The children of the youth group really love the drama group and it's a great way to bring the younger generation together. The shows that are performed are popular and a great experience. As you can imagine it is costly to run a hall of this size and to maintain the up keep. Unfortunately the toilets are in dire need of being replaced. Some general maintainence work is also required. We would like the group's,especially the children, to continue to make use of the hall and encourage more people to take advantage of this lovely space.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated.

Wow! We're all so grateful for your support. It's really lovely to hear off people that really benefited from the hall and it's groups. Still a long way to go but this is a great start! Lots of fundraising happening this year so keep a look out via Yaxley Public Hall Facebook page or the Yaxley Gazette page. All of Yapy in this year's pantomime, great kids!

In my youth having Asperger Syndrome meant not being able to understand issues that affected me however being a member of YAP and using the Public Hall helped me with the issues I had.

A few mum's and Chris who runs the Yaxley Amatuer youth group have set up a fundraising group for the hall. We are aiming to initially raise approx £5000 to refurbish the toilets and some general up keep of the building. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
