In April 2019 our fabulous friend Kirsty Holt was diagnosed out of the blue with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. As you can imagine, this turned their family’s life upside down. Kirsty has battled bravely through four rounds of chemotherapy, having to deal with severe sickness and infections along the way. This has meant her being away from her husband and two small children for many weeks.

Throughout it all Kirsty has been amazing and although it has tested her and they have had very low points, they have remained so positive and not stopped fighting. We are so very proud of her and her family.

Over the last siz months The Holt Family have drawn on the support of the NHS and a number of different charities who provide vital services and specialist nurses, alongside valuable research for diagnosis and effective treatments. We want to raise money so that these organisations can continue to fight blood cancer. Personally, it would also be nice for The Holt Family to have a family treat to look forward to from some of these funds.

It's going to be fantastic to be able to give money to The Holt's and the organisations that are helping them. We also plan to do a few events to help raise our total, including 'running' the Rugby Half Marathon in October.
