Kiteka is disrupting gender inequality and poverty through the transformative power of technology.

Kiteka enables female entrepreneurs in Uganda and beyond to access the global digital economy through smartphone provision, training and connections to international businesses in need of intelligent digital outsourcing.

Our Story

Owning a smartphone increases income for over half of female entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries. In Sub-Saharan Africa, for example, women are 23% less likely than men to own a mobile phone – and 64% of women don’t own a phone at all.

Kiteka is here to address the imbalance.

With roots in the UK and Uganda, we launched as 100 Phones in Kampala in 2016. With the support of partners and donors, we enable small business owners with smartphone technology provision and training, benefiting the ladies, their families and their wider communities.

We have big ambitions for the future: to become self-sustaining through digital outsourcing work, providing new sources of income and knowledge for the Kiteka network and through that developing an innately capable and committed workforce for international clients.
